Damage Reports on Stage 1

It has been a difficult 24 hours for the La Solitaire URGO Le Figaro fleet with winds over 40kts and big seas. Here is a list of known problems this morning.

21h21 : Erwan Tabarly (Armor Lux) annonced he was heading to Les Sables d’Olonne because of his broken port spreader.
21h23 : Le Santorini, the safety boat accompanying the fleet reports that Sophie Faguet (Porsche Corben) has had many problems with her sails.
23h34 : Yannig Livory (Lorientreprendre) called Race Direction to say that a huge wave had damaged his Solent headsail and his main halyard had broken and his main had torn in two. He is now heading under reduced sail to Gijon. He has also broken his D2 shroud.
23h49 : Jérémie Beyou (Charal) reported he had lost his Solent and headsail halyards and was heading to Gijon under mainsail only.
0h14 : Damien Guillou (Domino’s Pizza) called to say his mainsail is damaged and he was heading to Les Sables d’Olonne.
1h14 : Anthony Marchand (Ovimpex Secours Populaire) also tore mainsal and was also routing to the Vendée haven.
1h34 : Erwan Tabarly (Armor Lux) arrived Les Sables met by shore team
4h25 : Eric Delamare (Région Normandie) lost big spinnaker
5h46 : Marc Pouydebat (Auto Malin) torn mainsail heading to La Rochelle
7h27 : Damien Cloarec (Saferail) AIS antennna problem, still racing to Gijon
7h31 : Anthony Marchand (Ovimpex Secours Populaire) is in Les Sables and plans to go to Gijon or Concarneau direct
9h10 : Xavier Macaire (Groupe SNEF) torn head of mainsail,
9h12 : Damien Guillou (Domino’s Pizza) is in Les Sables d’Olonne plans to rejoin in Gijon or Concarneau.
